I am Renee MacKenzie and I am the author of nine published novels.

Confined Spaces and Pausing are sexy, contemporary romances.

Flight and Nesting are early, more literary titles.

23 Miles and Anywhere, Everywhere are romantic intrigue novels.

Lastly, Kai’s Heart (Karst Series Book 1), Naomi’s Soul (Karst Series Book 2), and Misha’s Promise (Karst Series Book 3) are dystopian romances.

I currently live southern Nevada, where in addition to writing, I enjoy reading, hiking, photography, pickleball, and hanging out with my partner Pam and our beloved poodles, Zara and Poppy.

  1. Hey Renee! I was bumming around the internet today and came across your mp3 on “Conversations at the Bar”. It was fun hearing you live or on memorex, whaddeveah… I have to tell you….I got your new book in the mail…took it to my bedroom to read and promptly knocked it down behind the headboard of my immoveable bed. So I haven’t read it yet. But I have a friend, a guy friend who is 6’7″ and very skinny whose arms may fit down there to pick it up or at least push it out the side to where i can get it. So I am looking forward to his visit this weekend and getting to read “Nesting”!

And in case you are the only person in the universe I haven’t told yet, I was the guest blogger today on Women & Words blog. That was a huge honor because usually they just do folks with novels, and i’m not there yet. But if you are looking for a good time, (just kidding) dial…no I mean you can read it at womenwords.org and it’s titled “Sensible Shoes.”

Again, great to hear your podcast. Looking forward to seeing you in New Orleans, but we’ll talk before that, because I’ll write you after I get to read Nesting.

    • Hi Ona, great hearing from you. I’ve lost books and other items in strange, hard to reach places, so I totally get that Nesting ended up in one such place.

I will check out your blog on Women and Words. Congratulations!

      New Orleans!!!! We can’t wait.

  2. I read Confined Spaces while on a road trip to my best friend’s wedding. I LOVED the book and couldn’t put it down. Thankfully I finished the book before the road trip. My thoughts…the characters especially Andie and Kara were the kind of characters you could relate to. It was a pleasure to follow their stories. You couldn’t help rooting for them to end up together. The plot was very interesting. I enjoyed how you added obstacles to their relationship and that Andie had individual obstacles to overcome. I appreciated the bit of mystery that was added in with the romance. It was just the right balance for me as a reader. You are a great writer! Looking forward to your other novels!

    • Hi Betty, thanks so much for the kind words about Confined Spaces. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’m waiting for the right time (and frame of mind) to touch base with Andie and Kara in another book.

      Thanks again!
